Regina Daniels breaks silence, denies marrying Ned Nwoko for money

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly addressed ongoing accusations that she married her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, for financial gain.
In a post shared on social media, the actress expressed frustration over repeated claims linking her union with the politician to monetary motives. According to her, her family was already financially stable before the marriage.
“I tried to be silent on this but I can’t any longer. You guys should stop saying I got married to Ned Nwoko because of his money. That’s wrong. We were financially stable,” she wrote.
Daniels also appealed to critics to stop directing insults at her mother, insisting that she made the decision to marry Nwoko against parental advice. She revealed that her feelings at the time were intense and emotionally overwhelming.
“She warned me, but it’s me. I’m so ashamed to say I fell in love. I was going to harm myself if I didn’t marry Ned,” she added.
Questioning the narrative that her mother benefited financially from the union, the actress emphasized that she was already providing for her family’s wellbeing before her marriage.
“What amount can a man give a mother for a child already providing everything at home?” she asked.
Addressing Nwoko directly, Daniels vowed to fight for custody and care of her children, asserting her determination to raise them with or without his support.
“My dear ex-husband, Ned Nwoko, I will fight for my boys, train them with or without you,” she declared.
The statement has sparked fresh conversations on social media about the pressures and scrutiny surrounding celebrity marriages, as well as the mental health challenges associated with public judgment.
