Benue SUBEB Chairman joins British Council Int'l Conference on language in Education in Abuja

The Executive Chairman,Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (Benue SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, is participating in the ongoing British Council Language and Education Conference at the Abuja Continental Hotel, alongside policymakers and education leaders from across Sub-Saharan Africa.

A statement by the Information Officer of the Board, Emmanuella Akese explained that the conference with the theme “Language, Education and Inclusion: Empowering Every Learner in Sub-Saharan Africa,” provides a platform for cross-learning, collaboration and knowledge-sharing among education experts.

She stated that discussion would be "centred on promoting inclusive and equitable learning through language, strengthening foundational education, enhancing assessment practices, integrating technology in teaching, improving transitions across learning levels and addressing challenges faced in diverse educational contexts.

"The conference was officially declared open by the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf  Olatunji Alausa, and is also attended by the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad."

The statement pointed out that Dr. Adagba’s participation highlighted Benue SUBEB’s commitment to "driving quality basic education, fostering inclusive learning environments and aligning with global best practices for effective education delivery across Benue State."
