IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu is being unjustly held - Senator Ned Nwoko

The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Ned Nwoko, has declared that the leader of the Indegenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is being held unjustly by the Federal Government.

He called for his immediate release to assuage the agitation by angry youths in the South Eastern part of the country.

The lawmaker who made the declaration when he appeared as a guest in a popular Channels Television programme, Sunday Politics monitored by RootsReporters.

He decried the failure of the Federal Government to respect prouncements of the courts on the matter to free Nnamdi Kanu.

He also blamed the agitation in the South East to the level of injustice metted to the people of the South East advising that the people of that part of the country should be justly treated to bring an end to the level of anger among youths of that part of the country.

Hear him: "Nnamdi Kanu has been held unjustly for years without proper trial.
There have been pronouncements by the Courts for his release that have not been respected by the government

"His incarceration has been connected to the crisis in the South East. And the problem in the South East is perceived to be as a result of injustice in that part of the country.

"I have spoken to some youths in the South East, they do not want to die, all they demand is respect and justice."
