Outrage as Gbajabiamila urges Abejide to remain in ADC and fight

The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged Hon. Leke Abejide to remain firmly in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), encouraging him to resist reported pressure to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking in a firm and supportive tone, Gbajabiamila described Abejide as a committed political fighter and a loyal party man who should continue to hold his ground within the ADC.

“I know you to be a committed party man. I know you to be a fighter. I know you to be someone who does not like to be cheated,” he said.

He advised Abejide to remain steadfast in the ADC and continue strengthening the party he has helped build over the years.

“Please, my charge to you is to stay in that same ADC. Fight them, scatter them, hold on to your party ADC. Do not allow them,” Gbajabiamila stated.

The Chief of Staff also dismissed suggestions allegedly made by a former governor that Abejide should join the APC, insisting that such calls should be ignored.

“We like what you are doing. Continue. Don’t mind the former governor who said that you should go and join APC. No, no, no, no, no. Stay in ADC, win your election in ADC as you will,” he added.

He further emphasized the importance of protecting political structures built through years of sacrifice and personal investment.

“Nobody can come and take your party away from you. A party that you have built over years with your sweat and your money and everything, no. Continue,” he said.

Gbajabiamila concluded by wishing Abejide success in his ongoing legal matters.
“Good luck in court,” he said.

The comments are expected to generate political reactions as conversations around defections and party loyalty continue to intensify ahead of future elections.
