Uche Montana denies allegations linking her to Regina Daniels’ alleged drug crisis

Nollywood actress Uche Montana has refuted claims suggesting she was involved in the alleged drug-related crisis surrounding fellow actress, Regina Daniels, and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Montana issued a statement via her Instagram page on Monday, addressing the allegations days after Senator Nwoko, in a lengthy Facebook post, listed Regina’s close friends and relatives — including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana — as individuals allegedly undermining his wife’s rehabilitation process. He claimed the accused persons repeatedly disregarded medical advice to limit Regina’s access to visitors and allegedly supplied her with substances she was undergoing treatment for.

Reacting to the claims, Montana stated: “My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace.”

Her response comes amid a deepening controversy surrounding Regina Daniels’ marriage to Senator Nwoko. Two weeks ago, Regina accused her husband of domestic abuse in a viral video, describing herself as a “slave” in their home.

Nwoko has since dismissed the allegations, insisting his wife is battling drug and alcohol addiction and accusing her of physically assaulting domestic workers.

Regina, in defence, alleged that Nwoko introduced her to the substances he now condemns. She further accused him of confiscating her phones, detaining her at home, and forcing himself on her when she resisted.

The situation continues to generate public debate as both parties trade accusations.
