Breaking Abuja court convicts IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu for terrorism

The Federal High Court in Abuja has convicted the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on count one of the terrorism charges filed against him by the Federal Government.
In its ruling, the court held that it was convinced Kanu made multiple broadcasts aimed at inciting violence and causing loss of lives in pursuit of his separatist campaign for Biafra.
Justice James Omotosho, who presided over the case, said his decision was anchored on what he described as “uncontroverted evidence” presented by the prosecution.
