President Tinubu praises security forces after rescue of kidnap victims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the nation’s security forces following the successful rescue of kidnapped Nigerians in Kwara and Niger States.

In a statement on Saturday, the President recalled that he had canceled his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally oversee national security operations. “Thanks to the efforts of our security forces over the last few days, all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State have been rescued,” he said.

President Tinubu also expressed relief over the recovery of 51 students from a Catholic school in Niger State who had been reported missing. He emphasized that he is “closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline.”

“I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety, and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people,” the President affirmed.

The statement underscores the administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity and protecting citizens amid rising concerns over kidnappings and other violent crimes across the country.
