A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has called an emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) and Board of Trustees (BoT) for Tuesday, signalling a fresh push in the intensifying internal battle for control.

The faction, led by Abdulrahman Mohammed, scheduled both meetings to hold at the PDP national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.

In a notice signed by Samuel Anyanwu, a key Wike ally, the BoT session is slated for 11am, hinting at what insiders say may be renewed attempts to assert dominance and challenge the authority of rival blocs within the party.
