FCT Police break silence on arrest, arraignment of Regina Daniels’ brother

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest and arraignment of Samuel Ojeogwu, popularly known as Sammy West, the younger brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the command received a petition on October 28 accusing Ojeogwu and three others of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, theft, and cyber-bullying.

According to Adeh, several invitations were extended to Ojeogwu by the Metro Area Command for questioning, but he reportedly failed to honour them. He was later arrested in Lagos on the strength of a court-issued warrant and subsequently transferred to Abuja for further investigation.

“Upon the conclusion of investigations, the suspect was on the 6th of November 2025 charged to court for offences bordering on criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, and theft,” Adeh said.

She confirmed that the court has ordered his remand pending the fulfilment of bail conditions.

The police spokesperson noted that the FCT Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law.
