Chibok, Borno State – Residents of Pemi Ward in Chibok Local Government Area have expressed shock and outrage following an attack yesterday that left the Evangelical Church Winning All (EYN) LCC, local shops, and several vehicles destroyed.

Speaking on behalf of the community, church leaders described the incident as a painful reminder of the persistent insecurity in the area. “This is not the first time our church has been targeted, and we are growing weary of living in fear,” they said.

The community has called on government authorities, including the Governor of Borno State, local Senators, Representatives, and the Chibok House of Assembly, to take urgent action. “We are not asking for handouts; we need security and justice,” the statement said, appealing for meaningful protection rather than mere words.

Residents are urging all stakeholders to come together to halt the ongoing violence and ensure the safety of the community.
