Regina Daniels’ mother slams Senator Ned Nwoko over alleged arrest of her children
By Ade Ade
Nollywood actress Rita Daniels, mother of popular film star Regina Daniels, has publicly criticized her son-in-law, Senator Ned Nwoko, following the alleged arrest of two of her children.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Daniels accused the senator of ingratitude despite what she described as significant financial and political support she and her daughter rendered to him during his election campaigns.
“You wanted someone with a high star to boost your fallen star. I kept quiet and was covering you. You will come down,” she said in the video. She further alleged that Regina contributed $50,000 to support Nwoko’s political bid, adding that she also provided cash and resources.
Daniels expressed anger that despite the family’s support, her children were allegedly detained on his orders.
She questioned his motives and credibility, stating that Regina publicly praised him on social media “just to make him feel funky.”
As of the time of this report, Senator Nwoko has not issued an official response to the allegations, and details surrounding the alleged arrests remain unclear.
