Senator Ned Nwoko Alleges Wife Regina Daniels Battles Drug, Alcohol Addiction

Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North in the National Assembly has alleged that his wife, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, is struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
The 64-year-old lawmaker made the claim in a statement posted on his verified Instagram page on Sunday, following the circulation of a viral video showing the 25-year-old actress in distress during what appeared to be a domestic altercation.
Senator Nwoko said his wife’s alleged substance abuse had been the root cause of repeated domestic crises in their household, claiming her recent outburst was “drug-influenced” and had resulted in “unprovoked carnage.”
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote.
He further alleged that the actress had recently turned violent, attacking domestic staff and destroying property in their Abuja home.
“She slapped and hit three staff members in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no reason,” he claimed.
The senator said his wife had left home for an undisclosed location where she allegedly had “unrestricted access to drugs,” adding that he had asked her to undergo rehabilitation either in Nigeria or abroad.
“The truth is, I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria, especially in Jordan, where she will not have access to drugs,” he added.
The lawmaker also alleged that Regina’s close associates were involved in supplying the alleged substances, naming two individuals he described as her “main drug contacts.”
“While I took Moon (our son) to the hospital, chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
His statement comes less than 24 hours after a viral video showed the actress crying and shouting during a domestic confrontation, saying: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my mother's house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The footage sparked widespread concern and speculation about the state of the couple’s marriage, which has frequently been in the public spotlight since their union in 2019.
As of press time, Regina Daniels and her representatives had not issued any response to her husband allegations.
